Product Info
Lap trays are comfortable padded trays that rest on your lap. Our lap trays have a wipeable surface with a cloth cushion bag underneath. This is filled with polystyrene beads, which is warm in winter and cool in summer and moulds to the shape of your lap. They are unisex and suitable for all ages.
Our lap trays are suitable for many uses such as:
- using your laptop or iPad (especially in bed where a lap top so often overheats in your duvet)
- eating a meal in front of the TV
- crafts and games
- in the car for the kids
Images need to be of high quality (generally at least 5MB) to avoid them printing with a pixelated look. You may email the images to us, or preferably a shared link such as OneDrive, DropBox or GoogleDrive. Please make sure that you own the copyright of any image submitted to us.
No, our trays are only made in the standard size that is listed on the product page. Other sizes are not possible.
All our lap trays come with white edging; it is currently not possible to make trays with different colour edging.
Simply wipe the top surface with a mildly damp cloth. Do not soak in water, as this may damage the image underneath.
Warm to hot plates are no problem, however you should not put anything hotter than what you can hold with your hand on the tray, such as items straight from the oven. Rather place a silicon mat under the plate.
We started making our lap trays with the cushion attached in 2008. The range of lap trays is changing and growing constantly. We have a home-based business where we hand craft our lap trays. The lap trays are all hand made in Durbanville (Cape Town), South Africa.
Shipping & Delivery
Lapzadazy offers 2 convenient methods of delivery:
- Courier – We deliver directly to your home or office from our shop, anywhere in South Africa. All delivery and tracking details are supplied to you once the item is shipped;
- Collect – You can choose to collect from our Cape Town shop in Durbanville or Claremont. Please contact us to make an appointment, and for details and directions.
If you choose to have the order delivered, we will send you a quote based on the delivery location as well as the size of the order before accepting payment. We charge you the rate that is quoted to us by our courier partner. You are also welcome to send your own courier to collect your order when it is complete.
Within 3-5 working days after payment of your order has been confirmed. Custom designed laptops may take up to 7 days.
Once we’ve sent your order with the courier, we’ll send you an email with tracking details. If in doubt, contact us.
Unfortunately, we do not ship outside of South Africa, but you are welcome to arrange your own courier.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied, you can return the product to us and we will either repair / replace it, or credit your account, subject to the terms in our Return and Exchange Policy.
You are entitled to cancel your order prior to the point at which it is shipped for delivery, or for customised or personalised lap trays up until the point when we start processing your order. Should you wish to cancel your order thereafter you can do so in accordance with our Refund and Returns Policy.
Products can be exchanged for a different design of the same product provided that the preferred design is available. This option is available within 30 days of delivery and is not available for personalised or custom designs. If your preferred design is not available, please return the unwanted product and place a new order.
It’s important that any unwanted product, unless faulty, is returned in a re-saleable condition. We’d expect this to mean that you’ve kept all original packaging and labels, and that the lap tray undamaged and unused. We reserve the right to refuse a return or an exchange if goods are not returned in a saleable condition or are damaged. You will be responsible for the shipping and shipping costs needed to return the original product (unless defective) and in receiving the new product.
Please contact us to arrange a refund or exchange. We may request photo evidence. We will collect the item to investigate what went wrong and send the correct product to you, or credit/refund you as per your preference.
Please review our Refund and Returns Policy and contact us to arrange the return or refund.
You are responsible for packing the return product safely and securely to ensure against damage in transit. Please include your name in the parcel so that we can easily identify your return.
Privacy
We will keep your email address safe, and will not make it available to third parties without your permission. We will pass on the details necessary to fulfil delivery to our courier partner should you choose this option. We do not store any bank account or credit card information of yours.
